About the role: 

We are looking for an Infrastructure and Support Manager to provide the leadership and management necessary to inspire a global IT shared service team structure to successfully deliver on the business strategy in relation to infrastructure. You will contribute to an IT plan and technology roadmap based on the capabilities demanded by the business strategy. You will ensure operational effectiveness and successful project delivery in relation to infrastructure requirements and certify the IT support function is able to provide an adequate service to the business. 

You will be responsible for delivering cost effective, efficient solutions and services to Devro globally, providing recommendations to the Head of IT on how the business strategy translates into opportunities driven by the Infrastructure and Support team. You will collate and communicate significant risks to the business in relation to the solutions/services delivered, ensuring minimal unplanned downtime balanced against changes/projects required to successfully execute the strategy. You will provide adequate business continuity and disaster recovery planning/capabilities to the business. 

You will have accountability for the delivery and performance of the IT service desk via the IT Service Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of the IT budget in relation to infrastructure and service costs. You will manage infrastructure related initiatives whilst following standard PMO requirements when planning and participating in new activities. Working with and providing feedback to the IT management team in relation to evolving practices, technologies and opportunities for the business will be a requirement of the role. 

An integral element of this position is directly managing the Infrastructure and Support team members effectively. You will be responsible for the personal development of team members and provide coaching and clear guidance to ensure performance meets business expectations. You will be accountable for driving standardisation across processes, technologies and solutions adopted by the business and IT function, whilst endeavouring to provide excellent levels of customer service to all service desk users at all times. 

To be successful in this position you must have at least five years experience in a similar IT management role, experience working within a shared services structure would be strongly desirable. This position will require you to work with and manage individuals who are based in multiple locations and time zones, therefore this experience is essential. You must have the behaviours and ability to inspire and engage your team in order to maximise their performance. You must have experience developing business plans, and have extensive experience with process based issue resolution, change management, project lifecycle and stage gate based project execution. 

Experience working in an environment utilising Cisco solutions; VMware; Microsoft Technologies (including Office 365) and Dell Server & Client Solutions would be advantageous. 

There may be travel required within this role from time to time and you will be responsible for ensuring a fit for purpose out of hours on call rota for emergency incident support is in place.
