About the role: 

Your main role and responsibilities will include: processing level 1 and level 2 tickets received directly into the service desk application, via telephone, email or other communication method in line with standard processes and agreed targets. You will act as a level 2 escalation point for IT service desk colleagues and escalate complex level 3 tickets to colleagues based on standard processes. You will be required to pass regionally-appropriate tickets to IT colleagues for best outcome based on standard processes. 

You will produce and amend reports/scripts in line with agreed global business processes and make minor changes to forms/templates/barcodes/labels configurations on behalf of the shared service centre business applications team. You will be required to perform more detailed, non-scripted, troubleshooting processes to determine root cause of an incident and remediation.  You will be required to create and maintain knowledge based documents relating to incidents processed by the service desk as per the standard processes and deploy and update common applications and tools via standard systems. You will provide basic business analyst services on behalf of the shared service centre business applications team.  You will be required to work within the team to provide support to external stakeholders. 

To be successful in this role you must have exceptional communication and customer service skills and have the ability to mentor and encourage others within the IT team. You must have at least 4 years experience in a similar role. You must be a methodical thinker with the ability to manage your workload effectively. Experience working with any of the following technologies would be advantageous: Oracle JDE World; Microsoft Office 365 solutions (including SharePoint Online); Microsoft SQL; Cognos BI/Analytics & Controller; DSI dcLink; Bottomline Transform; Anaplan; Loftware LabelManager; Workfront and Microsoft .Net technologies. Participating in an out of hours on call rota for emergency incident support will be required, and travel from time to time may be necessary.
