Business Applications Analyst

This position will be based within our IT support function. 

Primary responsibilities:

·         Processing level 1 and level 2 tickets received directly into the service desk via telephone, email or other lines of communication.

·         Escalate complex level 3 and regionally-appropriate tickets to the applicable colleagues based on standard processes. 

Experience working with any the following technologies would be advantageous:

 

·         Oracle JDE World with a 9.2 or 9.4 preference

·         IBM iSeries RPGLE, CLP, and related skill sets

·         Microsoft SQL version 2012, 2016, 2016

·         Microsoft SharePoint Online or SharePoint 2010 On Premise

·         DSI/DC Link mobile scanning solution

·         Microsoft .Net (C# preferred)

·         Office 365 Applications

·         Loftware Label Management

·         Bottomline Transform document transformation software 

Other Responsibilities:

 

·         Perform detailed, non-scripted, troubleshooting processes to determine root cause of an incident as well as remediation.

·         Produce and amend reports and scripts in line with agreed global business processes and make minor changes to forms/templates/labels/barcode configurations on behalf of the shared service centre business applications team.

·         Create and maintain knowledge base documents relating to incidents processed by the service desk, and deploy and update common applications and tools via standard systems.

·         Provide basic business analyst services on behalf of the shared service centre business applications team.

·         As this will be an operational role you will be required to maintain uptime and business capability.    

To be successful in this position you must have exceptional customer service skills.  Experience working in a fast paced environment, effectively within a team and excellent communication skills are all key. The ability to manage your own workload effectively and think methodically is essential within this role. 

At least 4 years experience within a similar role is required and participating in an out of hours on call rotation for emergency incident support will be necessary, as well as travel from time to time.
