About the role: 

We are actively looking for a Product Quality Leader to join our Quality department on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to ensure the customer receives a superior experience through focus and vision from the Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for ensuring product standards are adhered to during manufacture, classification of products protects our customers, and proper investigations are conducted into customer complaints.

You will manage and lead a group of Quality Technicians to ensure safe and consistent practices are followed. You must strive to get the most out of the team by developing their skills and providing opportunities for them to challenge themselves. You will be responsible for developing quality champions as an agent to improve customer knowledge, quality requirements and performance within the business.

You will lead root cause analysis on major customer complaints and internal quality destructions with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring sustainable improvements are made to improve the customer experience. You will be responsible for leading traceability exercises to challenge our ability to protect the customer in the event of quality or food safety issues. To be successful in this position you must be competent managing competing priorities to ensure quality at time of manufacture and thorough and timely investigations into customer complaints.

The ideal candidate for this role will be characterised by high levels of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You must have an inherent passion for improving the customer experience and you will be trusted for your judgement. You must be comfortable with changing priorities, leading multidisciplinary teams, representing the company in front of customers, and show good risk judgement. You must have the ability and passion to move the business closer to being the customer’s first choice.

A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience within a FMCG or similar manufacturing environment would be preferred with a Science, Food Science or Quality related degree level qualification. You must have a proven track record of experience with incident management, risk management, problem solving and non conformance management. Proficient presentation and IT skills are required.
