Group treasury & Financial Anlalyst

 About us:

Devro is a FTSE listed company and a global leader in the supply of collagen casings and films, used in a wide variety of sausages and other meat products.  Our operational reach is international with manufacturing plants in Scotland, USA, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Australia and China. We employ over 2,000 people worldwide whose skills and knowledge range from chemical and electrical engineering to food technology, manufacturing and everything in-between.

 About the role:

To help us achieve our growth potential, we are looking for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant or treasurer to join our group finance function as Group Treasury and Financial Analyst.  Reporting to the Group Treasurer and based from our High Holborn office in London, you will primarily be responsible for executing day to day treasury operations, as well as supporting with strategic treasury and tax planning projects.  The varied nature of the role means that you will also support colleagues with general group finance projects and assist the broader finance team during pressured periods.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Execute day to day treasury operations, minimising transaction costs and interest expense while ensuring efficient implementation of the Group’s hedging policy.
  • First contact point for treasury queries from affiliates, ensuring that appropriate support is provided and queries escalated appropriately.
  • Management of monthly netting process and intercompany transactions.
  • Treasury systems maintenance and development.
  • Produce weekly cash and covenant report and quarterly treasury committee papers.
  • Maintain treasury policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance and renewal of minor debt facilities.
  • Year end and half year treasury related notes to the statutory accounts.

Being part of a relatively small group finance team in an international listed business means you will have involvement in other group finance activities, such as audit, reporting, budgeting and tax amongst other things.   Furthermore, we have great support mechanisms in place and for the right candidate we are prepared to support with AMCT qualification.  This varied workload, along with the front office treasury element of the role, with direct exposure to banks, investors and brokers makes this a unique opportunity not to be missed.

About you:

Due to the technical nature of the role, we are looking for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA etc.) with experience of working with and/or accounting for treasury instruments and the treasury function.

Alternatively we would be interested in applications from those that are already AMCT qualified, with relevant industry experience. This experience should include treasury deal execution – FX/IR spot, forward, swap and options.  Systems development experience would be useful, as would knowledge of Bloomberg, IT2, 360T and JD Edwards, however this is not essential.

Regardless of background, you will be someone that has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally, and with a range of different seniorities.  Analytical by nature, you will bring with you strong problem solving skills and abilities, as well as the confidence and good judgement demanded by a front office treasury role.  You will be able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while always looking for more efficient or effective ways of working.

In return we offer a varied, interesting and challenging workload. You will have all of the support and guidance you need to thrive, yet you will have the opportunity to put your own mark on things.  On top of a competitive salary, we offer an attractive benefits package.

What next?

In return we offer a varied, interesting and challenging workload, along with a competitive salary and attractive benefits package.
