Manufacturing Finance Assistant

We are looking for an experience Manufacturing Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. In this role you will work in partnership to provide accurate information that enables the effective delivery of the business strategy and drives the business to meet the required targets and cost reductions.

Your main role and responsibilities will include: providing and analysing operational KPIs and undertaking ad hoc analysis of performance; collating and reconciling appropriate accounts and report on variances and manage manufacturing standards as part of the budget process; preparing and reconciling monthly accounts – ensuring all ledgers are basing decisions on accurate information; cost new codes as they are developed to allow the business to understand the cost of each code manufactured; carry out variance analysis versus standard in terms of actual manufacturing performance to provide actual cost of codes manufactured ; maintain controls over raw materials inventory by reviewing and acting upon the results of physical stock counts.

To be successful in this position you must have relevant experience ideally within a manufacturing accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have broad experience of practical manufacturing accounting practises, be competent in using financial based applications – including spreadsheets and financial ledger systems - preferably JD Edwards.

Intermediate Excel skills are essential. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgement; Strong skills in accuracy, attention to detail and numeracy; Good analytical skills with the ability to deal with the complexities arising in the day to day are essential for this role. You will be working with a variety of people therefore strong interpersonal skills are required.
