Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for identifying, developing and implementing innovative product solutions for APAC markets that drive Devro competitiveness in the casing business.
• Identify innovation opportunities for APAC that drive competitiveness.
• Evaluate product or technological concepts through rapid prototyping.
• Drive execution of innovation projects on time, quality and cost.
• Establish relationships with external partners and co-develop innovative products and technologies.
• Record and analyse experimental observations and data.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative assessment of new products internally and externally.
• Provide experimental updates and formally present results.
• Evaluate prototype casings in product application test laboratories.
• Participate in product trials at customer facilities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing during introduction of new products through semi-commercial production including SOPs and BOMs.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor, Master or PhD.
• Fields: Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology.
• Experience in product development, preferably in the food industry.
• A track record of successfully developed products is a plus.
• Solid technical skills are required.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to use computer software.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
