About the role:

We’re seeking a motivated and resourceful Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join us on a full-time basis in our plant in Bathurst, responsible for improvements to processes, maintenance & plant performance, and capital projects across the plant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation, commissioning & testing of equipment, systems, and processes to enhance performance and safety
  • Learn from senior members of the organisation, stay up to date on current Devro technology
  • Execute project work, including managing engineering changes, procurement activities, collaboration with suppliers and contractors
  • Order management, and adherence to budgets and timelines
  • Conduct prototype testing, analysing, and presenting clear & concise reports on results
  • Maintain technical files for each project, including risk assessments, drawings, training records, and handover documents
  • Support stakeholder engagement by organising meetings and facilitating communication
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to resolve plant issues
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines throughout all duties

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant industry experiencepreferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
  • Flexible attitude towards work
  • Innovative and out-of-the-box thinking for problem-solving
  • Sound understanding of Engineering principles and ability to apply them
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
