The opportunity

As the IT Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for all IT incidents and service requests that are submitted through the Service Desk. You will work in a timely manner to respond to those requests, working to resolve and escalate accordingly in line within the agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of IT demand management processes (incidents, service requests, etc.)
  • Triaging of new requests to the IT Service Desk
  • First line support for all IT Service Desk requests through to resolution or escalation
  • Attempted resolution of uncommon requests that are not fully documented but within confidence and authority level
  • Escalation to IT Service Specialist - Line 2 for requests that require more specialized knowledge
  • Creation of draft knowledge base articles from learnings
  • Hands on support of IT assets, where appropriate and required
  • Being flexible and adaptable to work outside core business hours when required
  • Assisting with IT projects and initiatives from time-to-time

About you

Minimum 1 year in a front line / IT Service Desk – Line 1 equivalent role

Essential:

  • Experience of end user computing technologies such as mobile devices, PCs, and Microsoft 365 / Office tools
  • Experience of using an ITSM solution
  • Great communication ability with a collaborative mindset
  • Customer service experience
  • Attention to detail and working to deadlines
  • Inquisitive mindset, troubleshooting and methodical thinking
  • Willingness to learn new knowledge and grow
  • Ability to communicate fluently (written and verbal) in English is essential

Desirables

  • Awareness of ITIL processes (e.g. incident management) and the use of ticketing service desk solutions
  • Experience of using Freshservice ITSM solution
  • Ability to communicate in Dutch or Spanish
