About the role:

The UK/Nordic Senior Account Manager is responsible for providing front line sales and commercial focus for all distributor and customers in Nordic region and additional UK customer base. The Individual is expected to adopt a multi-skilled approach to all aspects of direct and indirect Account Management. This will include contract negotiation and forecasting and meeting monthly sales forecasts.

As a member of the UK, Ireland and Nordic Sales Team, you will play a full role in developing the Company’s casing business, 25% of the role will be spent on Nordic. You will develop close relationship with all distributor and direct accounts and will conduct regular Business reviews with key and senior stakeholders.

You will be required to negotiate new contracts with senior customer contacts and understand the Devro proposition to focus on a Value sell and understand the Devro IBP process and have accountability for customer sales forecasts. You will have a focus for meeting Volume, Revenue and Profitability targets.

This role will be involved with other Account Managers and Technical support functions to ensure efficient management of all customer sites within Group accounts. You will be required to devise key account plans which are tailored to meet our customer's expectations. You will have the responsibility for monitoring product performance and in some instances provide a level of technical support function.

You will organise and participate in trade events and exhibitions and maintain trade profile in the market and you will also understand and have awareness of competitor activity and supply relevant feedback to broader management group. Being field based you will be expected to work autonomously with significant scope for day-to-day decision-making to optimise account relationships.

The ideal candidate will require strong negotiation skills with the ability to operate comfortably at all levels within key customer organisations with exceptional communication and presentation skills. You must have an interest in monitoring current industry/retail trends via scrutiny of trade, press or industry networking and knowledge of our customers products, applications and sausage processes would be an advantage.

To be successful in this position you must be degree qualified or have appropriate industry experience in a similar or sales account management related role. You are required to be flexible with travel and have a full driver’s licence.
